Did watch on DVD yesterday afternoon The Fastidious Wife episode that initially was shown December 27,1979. This was an episode which could have given Corabeth a black eye because she had not read the book at all carefully and should have never given it to Cindy in Cindy's condition. Cindy decided to do everything the book advises--Elizabeht was certainly right in saying that a Saint could not emulate what is prescibed in this book. Was there ever such a book written? I am sure there was but it needs to be put on a caution list--unfortunately since we have confused liberty with license, we have thrown away many of the safeguards that once kept things in check . I know for a fact that my friend is not falling for any of these suggestions while carrying her little one! The episode has a very good moral------and fortunately Virginia was born safely some episodes later in The Idol.
And Harold--we should either add an e to this name or change it to something like Hedwig---this is a Polish name and its Polish equivilent is JADWIGA a great Polish Queen!
