There is no rhyme nor reason behind this photo. Nothing matches Ralph's Pilgrim hat and musket, including Ralph's white shirt. The girls look like they walked through wardrobe wearing blindfolds and just grabbed stuff off the racks and shelves.

TVGuide used to print multi-page photo spreads of television personalities, often in outrageous costumes.

I'd guess that they got the Waltons cast to pose for some Thanksgiving week issue.
