As I read the article, I saw the name and though to myself. "That's his New York publisher's name." I was going to verify it, but the article verified it for me. That was, indeed, a wonderful tribute.

On the front cover, if this was modelled after Earl's childhood, I can see hills in the distance, suggesting Walton's Mountain and also a Model T coming down the road. it looks like the Gas/service Station is across the street from Ike & Corabeth's Store
