I am out of here until such time as the board members get an explanation. My kind regards to the people here whose company I have enjoyed in the past, but I feel that the administration has let you down.

I think we all kinda know what happened based on the info we have, but the details will never be known. |

I agree 100% Since we don't have the information, deciding between tragedy and prank can only be a guess. It still reminds me of a "Dateline" episode where a mother falsely claimed her young daughter had cancer which eventually was proven to be made up. The mother couldn't be sued because she didn't ask for money but Country Singer Brad Paisely had recorded a song just for the daughter and was able to sue since a special recording from him was worth umpteen thousand dollars. The bottom line appears to be this if it ever turns out to be a prank. Why do so many intelligent people fall for this? |

I do not blame the administrator. I blame Emmy and her friends. The administrator just removed an in pleasant conversation. I suspect she thought it was a hoax as I did.

My personal theory is that there were no friends involved. More likely one person who was craving some sort of attention and validation. |

If it is true it was a misguided prank or ruse, I really don't care. I am just glad she is alive. After I read the post about her alleged suicide, I was terribly sad. I avoided the forum for several days. When I came back, the post about her suicide had been closed for further comment and I wasn't sure what happened.
I hope she gets the help she needs and continues to grow and mature. Being a kid is rough and I hold no ill will.

I now presume that "Emmy" is an actual person, rather than a horde of playful and unscrupulous college students, and thus I am happy to hear that she survives. I wish her well.
It's only that with the abrupt shutdown of the topic, I was at a loss as how to proceed with regard to this site. I couldn't just pretend that nothing had happened. I appreciate the new information here (as well as a helpful PM).
