Hi there, Has anybody subscribed to this Waltons partwork? www.waltonsdvdcollection.com/Since the "proper" DVD releases of Waltons have stalled in the UK, this would seem to be the only way for UK fans to get the whole set of episodes. The price is astronomic, though, £8 per 3 episodes! That's £600 (about $900) for the lot. The little booklets look nice, though. Does anybody know if DeAgostini always finish these things, or do they leave people stranded after they decide their collections aren't selling?

We did a part-work on footpaths in the uk and also a 'musical' collection. they finished both. if you cant find what you want in the stores then perhaps this is the way. but it's always a case of 'buyer beware'

This link certainly sounds interesting, however, I have all of the DVD's and still have some of the episodes on VHS which I told you I ordered from someone in Massachusetts in 2007. With this in mind I do not consider it an advantage to me to subscribe, however it is probably beneficial to someone who has not obtained all of the DVD's .

Do those prices just seem to be kinda high? Very, very high. I just priced up getting the same episodes thru Amazon (inc. "Homecoming" and the movie collection) and I can get it all for £160 at current prices. They'd have to be good booklets to be worth £440! (Incidentally, all the US discs are marked regions 1+2+3+4 so you don't even need a multi-region player in the UK to play them.)

There are also German DVDs (which include the English soundtracks and have removable subtitles) which, I think, are up to Season 7. I don't know the regional markings of these.
