Since the show was cancelled in the off season after 9 years of production, the cast was not able to leave the show with any keepsake memories at the time. Do you think that the studio allowed the main cast members to come back at a later date after the show was cancelled to possibly gather a few of those memories together for their own? If not, do you think all that stuff was wrapped up quickly after the 9th season was completely and put into storage or used in other shows? I really would think the cast would have loved the chance to take home a keepsake memory or two of the show.
I know John Boy(Richard Thomas) has mentioned before when he left he took his parking name sign which he cherishes to this day.

This was discussed in one of Judy's recent videos with John Dayton. (John really wanted to take the parrot on the stairway shelf.) The set dressings and props (Props are used by the actors. Dressings are just decorations.) all came from the studio warehouse. When the show was cancelled, everything went back to the studio. The show didn't own any of them so none of the actors had any right to take anything.
Here's the parrot John was talking about. I'd never noticed it until Judy showed it in her video:

It is a shame because some of those things I would think certain actors would have really cherished. I really don't know what the sentimental value for John had with the Parrot, but there must have been something. Richard must have really wanted something when he left so he took what he could and that was his parking space name plate. Even those things would have been cool things for the cast to have and at the end of the show I guess all the main characters drove(Even Kami). I guess someone drove Ellen to the set when she worked at that time.

Richard's parking place sign wasn't a prop, so he could take it when he left. And John Dayton said the parrot wasn't sentimental. He just liked it.

They didn't have the 'star status' that Richard did, and he left half-way through the run. The rest off the cast, if they even had parking spots, were on hiatus when the show was cancelled.

Yeah they were on hiatus, but even if Judy Norton, Jon Walmsley, Eric Scott, Mary McDonough, David Harper, and Kami Cotler didn't have a parking space, I would think Michael, Ralph, Will, and Ellen would have.
