After reading about Earl’s Twilight Zone episodes, I researched all his contributions to that legendary show. I thought I remembered seeing “The Hunt” and “Jess-Belle” and when I read the summaries listed, it was clear why they stood out. My “second Mom” Jeanette Nolan appeared in both: one as the widow of the man who died in “The Hunt” and she portrayed the witch in “Jess-Belle” who casts the spell as a major plot point. As usual, Jen was amazing!
Jen was a truly beautiful woman (one can see her beauty as she played “Lady MacBeth” in Orson Welles’ outstanding movie “MacBeth”) but her joy was taking out her dentures and playing any character who was run down, outlandish, ugly or any role where she could be unrecognizable. I wish I had Easton’s skills and could post a photo of her as Lady MacBeth, her role as series star in “Dirty Sally” and then her role on the Waltons. You would see the term “character actor” definitely applied to her!
Earl’s talent as a TV writer was legendary. We are so lucky that the Waltons reruns are still bringing new fans to Earl’s incredible creation.

Miss Tracey, The Twilight Zone is still on television every night or early morning on MeTV.
Looking at those photos Jeanette Nolan it was definitely easy to see that she was an incredible actress and could handle all kinds of different roles. That makes a special actor.

emmy - I hope you get the chance to see my Mom in another Twilight Zone classic called “Night Call.” Although it wasn’t written by Earl, my Mom and another actress are the only characters on the show. She also appeared very briefly in another episode, I think it is called “Back There” when a man travels back in time to save President Lincoln.
I love how so many people who are much younger than most viewers discover these classic television programs. Years ago, I was having a computer lesson at the Apple Store and I happened to have photos of both my parents in my computer. As I scrolled through the pictures, this guy saw my Dad and said “Hey, do you know that man?” I told him yes I did because he was my Dad. Then he says, “You know he was on the very first Twilight Zone?” I told him I knew my Dad was on an episode but I don’t think it was the first one. He told me he was pretty sure and said why don’t we check it right then. I gave him my Dad’s name and we Googled the first Twilight Zone episode. Darn if he wasn’t right!!
It is so nice to be a part of this Forum and have so many photos of my parents shared I have never seen and have such kind comments posted about my Mim as Flossie Brimmer. Thank you to all!

The Twilight Zone comes on MeTV each night on the weekdays, but they come on after I have to go to bed. I will have to see if I can find that episode on a Streaming Service like FreeVee or Tubi. The internet you can find anything. My grandparents have told me that I have it so easy with doing homework and doing projects for school. They said they had to do research at the library and it wasn't will all these computers and the internet. Even my mom who graduated from high school in 2007 they said had it easy.
