I have seen a few of the profile photos like the one that Miss Brenda has with Richard Thomas and there is someone else that has one as well. I would think that was a super cool opportunity to meet them. I have never met any of the cast and I don't know if I ever will. If I do it will probably be the Walton Children or the younger cast by the time I get to meet any of them in person.
Have any of you met any of them and if so what was the experience like?

I've met all of the "kids" except Richard Thomas. Also met Michael Learned, and the actors/actresses who played GW, Cissy, Hobie, Harley, Cindy and Aimee Godsey. If I think of others I will post more but I think that's everyone.
The entire cast is kind, compassionate, welcoming and endlessly patient with their fans. Eric gave me a hug spontaneously when he was walking past me in line and without thinking, I said excitedly, "Eric!" And he turned around and came back to hug me. What a sweetheart, as is his wife who ironically is named, "Cindy."
Michael is truly maternal in the way you would want to believe she really is. (She is!) And she's always so touched to hear how much the show means to us. Had a fun, quick conversation with Michael McGreevey (Hobie), who told me a cute story about how his young son was watching his episode on The Waltons and was so upset to see his father fall out of a tree that his wife had to call him so his son could speak to him and be reassured he was ok.
The reunions are so much fun. We also got to see Jon Walmsley's band perform and they were fabulous. Judy is also a great singer and she performed several numbers as well.

Miss Patricia Anne, did you happen to attend the 45th Reunion for The Waltons? I saw a tribute for that on YouTube and from what you are describing it sounds the same. That is the one the singer from the Statler Brothers sings to Kami the song Elizabeth?

Maybe I will go to one of those with my mom at some point or maybe once I am able to drive I can go by myself.

^^^ And I did see Jimmy Fortune sing to Kami. It was very cute. It was in the gym of the old grammar school, now The Waltons Mountain Museum. That's also where Judy and Jon performed. And where I got my hug from Eric. 😊 And where, during intermission, I received a piece of applesauce cake served to me by Mama Walton herself. 💗

I was at that 45th reunion too, and I videoed Jimmy Fortune singing “Elizabeth” to Kami. I uploaded it to Facebook, and several people have reposted it. I attended Waltons reunions for over 20 years, so I have met most of the actors. I’ll see if I can remember them all.
Earl Hamner Richard Thomas Ralph Waite Michael Learned Jon Walmsley Judy Norton Mary McDonough Eric Scott Kami Cotler Peggy Rea (Rose) Martha Nix (Serena) Tom Bower (Curt) Lisa Harrison (Toni) Joe Conley (Ike) Ronnie Claire Edwards (Cora Beth) Rachel Longaker (Aimee) Morgan Woodward (Boone Walton) Mariclaire Costello (Rosemary Hunter) Lynn Hamilton (Verdie) Hal Williams (Harley) Robert Donner (Yancy) Cissy Wellman (Sissy Walker) Tammi Bula (Marcia Woolery) David Doremus (G.W. Haines) Tony Becker (Drew Cutler) Michael McGreevey (Hobie Shanks) Deirdre Lenihan (Daisy Garner) Angel Rhodes (Virginia)
Edited to add: David Harper! How could I forget that I’ve met Jim Bob? 🤦🏻♀️

Having met so many of the cast must have been so exciting and especially those who have passed away. Having those interactions will be something you will never forget. That is really amazing. You have mentioned that you were a teacher. When you met Kami did you happen to mention that to her?

You have mentioned that you were a teacher. When you met Kami did you happen to mention that to her? No, the times I have met Kami, I mostly just had time to get an autograph or a photo because there would be so many other people waiting for their opportunity to see her too. When I met Mariclaire Costello (Miss Hunter), I did have a few minutes to talk to her, and I told her I could identify with her character because I was a teacher. She was very nice and told me how much she admires teachers.

I know you are retired now, but I wish I had you as a teacher. You are so nice and caring. I know your students loved you.

I also have another question for those who have met the cast of The Waltons. Like Miss Brenda said, sometimes like with Kami there is a huge line for autographs and that is what you end up having time to get or maybe a photo. Other times you can chat like she did with Miss Costello(Miss Hunter).
When I watched the YouTube video of the 45th Reunion of The Waltons one thing I thought was great about it is how they just let the cast walk around where everybody else was.
I guess I would love to hear if any of you just got to chat with any of them for a little bit and what about like Miss Brenda did with Mariclare Costello. I would think those moments shared with the cast would be really memorable.

I forgot that I also met Tom Bower, and he was very nice.
I think the most chatting I was able to do was with Michael Learned and Michael McGreevey. I feel like I also had a chance to chat a bit with Cissy Wellman. I remember her saying how much she loved Robert Donner (her former husband).

Emmy, I love your profile picture!
I've been to a couple of reunions and met several cast members: Earl Hamner Ralph Waite Jon Walmsley (best hugger EVER!) Judy Norton Mary McDonough Eric Scott David Harper Kami Cotler Tom Bower Joe Conley Ronnie Claire Edwards Lynn Hamilton Hal Williams Cissy Wellman David Doremus Tony Becker Richard Hatch Michael McGreevey Deirdre Lenihan
Earl was so incredibly lovely and I feel very blessed to have gotten to know him. David Doremus and Tony Becker were both super nice. Everybody was, really.
I miss Carolyn so much!
