This is a truly dreadful episode I almost expected as the episode ended we hear Mary Ellen's/ Judy Taylor's voice describing the action and details of the episode as the the screen slowly fades away. We now see Mary Ellen holding a piece of paper looking at John Boy and saying something like " honestly is this the best episode you could write for next week?" John Boy shrugs, gives a sheepish smile and says something like " you get kinda desperate when the deadline is fast approaching"

The original Curt was someone who would freely speak his mind, but he was also someone who cared about people and the well being of others and especially Mary Ellen and John Curtis. The Curt we get to see that is brought back from the dead is nothing like that and from what we are told he is angry/upset because he can no longer satisfy and provide more of a family for Mary Ellen. That is just ridiculous to completely turn against someone you care about and especially abandon your child. It does leave a real terrible picture on the character. Exactly. Curt 1.0 was a brave, sometimes abrasive, proud, patriotic man who loved his wife and child. The resurrected Curt was the exact opposite. I get that being at Pearl Harbor would totally change a person, but I don’t think Curt, even if he was embarrassed that he could no longer satisfy Mary Ellen, would have walked away from John Curtis. I can sort of understand if he didn't want to be with Mary Ellen anymore, but just to abandon John Curtis like that doesn't make any sense at all.
