I just found out that Earl Hamner’s youngest sister, Nancy, passed away today. Her nephew posted it on Facebook. Apparently she had a stroke recently and never recovered from it. Now Paul Hamner is the only sibling still living. Condolences to her family. 🙏

Audrey was at The Walton's 45th Reunion and passed away in 2021. It is so sad to hear that Nancy has also gone to be with the Lord. I was wondering if anyone knows how old Paul Hamner is and if anyone thinks he would attend any of the reunions? Also Earl's son Scott who directed some of the Waltons shows if he would possibly attend?

According to this geneology page, here are the Hamner siblings birthdates from youngest to oldest Nancy 27 Mar 1940 Jim 21 Jun 1936 Bill 17 Oct 1934 Paul 25 Oct 1932 Audrey 17 Feb 1931 Marion 13 Jan 1930 Cliff 02 Oct 1928 Earl Jr 10 Jul 1923 So that would make Paul 90 yrs young. Yes, Nancy was the inspiration for Elizabeth. Earl’s oldest sister Marion was the inspiration for Mary Ellen, and his middle sister Audrey was the inspiration for Erin. Sadly, they have all passed away now, but I was lucky enough to meet all 3 sisters at various Waltons reunions. They were lovely ladies. |
