The Warner Brothers Ranch and all of the history contained there is set to be leveled Warner Bros sold the property and new sound stages will be built there. The number of TV series and movies filmed at the Ranch are too many to list here. But they include some scenes from The Waltons, The Middle, Bewitched, Gidget, The Flying Nun, I Dream Of Jeannie, Dennis The Menace, the Partridge Family, and The Donna Reed Show. Movies include Lethal Weapon and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. It is such a shame that all that history is going to be gone forever. Judy has talked about the ranch a few times in her YouTube videos. All About the Waltons has a nice desription of it... www.allaboutthewaltons.com/locations.phpHere is a discussion about it on a forum... www.hometheaterforum.com/good-bye-to-the-warner-bros-columbia-ranch-burbank-ca/Here is a YouTube video of a recent tour of the ranch. I linked it to start at the Baldwin's house. You can rewind to start at the beginning... I know time marches on, but some things need to be saved.

Thanks for sharing this and yes, some things need to be saved. Some people don’t realize money destroys things of importance.

We did a tour of the WB ranch during the 40th anniversary celebrations. So sad to imagine it gone - it was wonderful.

I’m jealous that you got to tour - I’ve always wanted to see it. There’s so much TV history wrapped up in it.

I’m jealous that you got to tour - I’ve always wanted to see it. There’s so much TV history wrapped up in it. It was all the sweeter because dear Earl rode in the bus with my group there. We saw the building that served as the hospital when Grandpa was holding vigil outside of Grandma's hospital room and I believe was also used on The Dukes of Hazzard. Everything looked so familiar, even if you couldn't place exactly where you had seen it. The thought of it all being gone just blows my mind.

I'm disappointed that I'll never get to experience a studio tour to the Warner Brothers Ranch. It's about as close up as anyone can get to being inside a tv show. Whoever has gone there or any other television studios for a tour and taken photos, please hold onto them for keepsakes to show to the today's generation as a part of history.

ellaroo: do not give up hope of ever enjoying a real Hollywood Studio Tour! While you may need a mask and a gun to afford the Universal Studio Tour, you don’t really get the chance to get up close and personal with sound stages or props used in famous movies. Warner Brothers still offers their studio tour, but it is over 3 hours and very expensive - plus we now know it will be missing a lot of special Walton memorabilia!
Paramount Studio Tour is your solution! Not sure how much it costs now, but just before the pandemic, it was very affordable. I took some relatives on that tour and they LOVED it! You go on a small golf cart with no more than 6 people. You’re allowed to get out, during the tour, to see (and take pictures) of many interesting things like the bench used in “Forrest Gump”; and walk around a NY Street, see a real western town and you can walk near Lucille Ball’s office building and hear lots of interesting facts about old Hollywood. Part of Paramount used to be Desilu Studios. Plus, because it wasn’t in production, we went into Dr. Phil’s soundstage and sat in the audience where his show is filmed.
It was lots of fun! I hadn’t been back to the studio since I stopped working on the lot in 1990. I was still surprised how much I enjoyed it. It was the least expensive of any of the studio tours and was just under 2 hours. Plus, the last stop was a huge room with LOTS of props used in famous movies. So, you can still take a wonderful tour that can make amazing memories!

Same with the Universal Studio tour. The day I go is where I'll cherish every moment as I've been so fascinated by how tv and movies are made from a young age.
