Do you still relate to the kids more or the parents?
I was watching the Brady Bunch and I noticed that I was still watching because of the kids. The same for the Walton's.
Its not like I do not see the adults, but I do not watch because of the adults.
I don't mean like I am in a Snoopy/teacher/adult world either if that makes sense .
I don't put in a DVD because of Carol and Mike, John or Livy, Charles or Caroline.

I think I relate more toward the adults now. I remember watching The Homecoming in it's initial run and worrying with the kids would Daddy get home in time for Christmas and would Santa get there and as I was the same age as Elizabeth wanting every doll in the catalog. Now as a married woman I can really understand Olivia being so worried about John. Not knowing where he is, worrying that he was on that overturned bus and was he one of the dead passengers or in a hospital somewhere and at the same time keeping all of that to herself and putting up a brave front so as not to worry the children. Then her tears of relief when John comes through the door safe and sound.
I can relate more to the parents in episodes about money worries. I've been through lost jobs and bills that have to be paid even though there was little money coming in.

I would say I relate more to the adults now. I know for sure that I never noticed how sexy John Walton Sr. was when I was a kid. 🤣
