There are so many wonderful topics, listed on The Forum recently, I would love to comment on, but I may not be able to post for a while. Two weeks ago, my husband was taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in LA due to a heartbeat of only 40 beats per minute and then, periodically, it would shoot up to 130 bpm. Either end of this spectrum is not good. Normal is 60-100 bpm.
His cardiologist confirmed that he had what is called “a silent heart attack” - meaning my husband never felt it and didn’t know when or where it happened. But, further tests discovered the heart attack occurred, as well as, a small necrosis (dead tissue) remains in a very small corner of his heart.
Thank goodness he is home now and currently, no medical interventions, (like a pacemaker) are warranted. I am trying to keep him resting and even watching some Walton reruns! He hadn’t seen “The Firestorm” in years! That was the episode I shared earlier on the Forum when he taught my Mom the German phrases that were in the final pivotal scene in the script. He has no German ancestry, just a course he had to take to become a physician.
Any positive thoughts or prayers sent his way would be greatly appreciated. I wish I could conjure up some “of Papa’s recipe” from the Baldwin sisters. It might not cure what ails him, but with enough of it, I don’t think he would mind the discomfort as much!!
I’ll be back soon - fingers crossed!

Oh Tracey, I'm so sorry to hear this!! I have been hearing of so many people having heart attacks lately -- people who never had problems before and who are far too young to be having these problems. I don't know what's going on, but it's very disturbing.
I'm glad your husband is home and recovering and I hope further intervention won't be necessary. Your hubby and you and your entire family are most definitely in my prayers. 💗

I’m so sorry to read about your husband’s illness, but I’m glad he is able to recover at home. I’m sure you are taking good care of him. I have missed you here on the forum, but I understand. Family comes first. Prayers for your husband and for you. 🙏

Tracey I was watching the first episode of the 7th season today on MeTv, "The Empty Nest" where they talk about the passing of Grampa (Will Geer). Also mentioned in one scene at Ike's store is about your mom dying and leaving her favorite ring to Olivia Walton. It's sad that both passed away before the filming of season 7. I noticed that the last episode that both appeared on was in season 6, "The grandchild". We missed them both. I don't think the Waltons was ever the same after this.
