Great point. The Little House books are still in print and they help generate interest in the TV series.

I know the folks on the Mountain are busy but I remembered Forever Friends of the Waltons held this event and there was never a post that it was no more. Heather, They still plan events from time to time in Schuyler, but they are usually smaller events with one or two of the cast members making an appearance at the B&B. Carole is planning an event in a few weeks to honor the memory of Carolyn Grinnell and Audrey Hamner. A 50th anniversary would be a huge event, and I heard Carole say that she did not have time to plan something like that, and apparently no one else has volunteered either. They are certainly doing alot to honor Earl and the extended Waltons family. I love that. I would be happy to help any way I can at any time. |

Is anyone here attending the Michael Learned Meet and Greet or the life celebrations of Carolyn Grinnell and Audrey Hamner (two separate events) in June in VA? I would love to, but gas prices from PA and VA make it impossible for me to travel for a day or two.

I’m going to try to go to at least one of them. I’m hoping my daughter will take me. I can’t drive that far alone due to my vision problems.

But nothing more that I have seen. It's some kind of fall festival with Eric, Mary? And maybe Kami. A true 50th would be everyone including Richard Thomas and he's touring with his play most of the year. |
