Thank you, Easton, for finding the name of the documentary. I thought I had Mike McGreevey’s phone number but I can only find his address. I will reach out to him and see if it’s for sale or if there are any screenings on PBS or somewhere. I really would love to see it!
I’ve talked to a few of the people who spoke about Earl on the documentary and they all felt honored to be able to finally share their feelings about him. They basically all said that Earl’s genius, his talent and his kindness were in equal proportion. They were so happy that Mike decided to do a documentary about Earl and all of his amazing qualities. They were thrilled that their recollections were put on film where future generations would also be able to know what an incredibly talented man he was and how beloved by colleagues. Everyone felt that it “…was about time! ” I think all the people on the Waltons Forum would agree!!

I'm truly sorry that I couldn't locate the DVD. There are a number of websites offering it for sale, but they all point to the Earl Hamner Storyteller website, and the DVD simply is not there. The links simply direct me to Amazon. I've scoured both the Canadian and American Amazon websites. The DVD is in their search listings, but the DVD isn't. Nobody on Ebay has it and the Earl Hamner Storyteller Facebook page doesn't have it. There are lots of T-shirts for sale, but all the DVD links point to the website I mentioned above.
There are thousands of listings and video clips for it, but I can't find a single DVD for sale. It's like it doesn't exist anymore.
I don't do Facebook, but if you do there is a lot of great video clips, photos, interviews, comments, and so on:
There are a lot of links to buy the DVD, but they all direct you to this website, and, as I mentioned above, the DVD isn't there in any way, shape, or form:
And this is the Waltons website where my search began:

This is a long shot, but you might call John and Olivia's B&B to see if 1) they have it in their gift shop or 2) know how to get it. When I was in Schuyler shortly after the movie came out on DVD, they were selling it in Ike Godsey's store. I did a quick Google, but couldn't find their number. You can also try Waltons Mountain Museum. I believe they have a gift shop and their number would be easier to find.

I just returned from a wonderful weekend at Waltons Mountain (Schuyler). I stayed at the Bed & Breakfast, and they do have a gift shop, but I didn’t notice if they had the DVD or not. Another option is the Waltons Mountain Country Store. I’ll try to find the phone numbers for you. I’ll also write a post and share some photos of my weekend when I have time.

^ To both patriciaanne and Brenda
Excellent on both your parts. The B&B had never even crossed my mind. I don't even recall it showing up in any of my search results.

Wow! Brenda, PatriciaAnne and even Easton, too, I am duly impressed! The sleuthing skills of all of you rival the FBI, the CIA and MI6 all rolled into one!! The documentary must be available somewhere!
I am trying to get Michael McGreevey’s email address and maybe his phone number. Since he was the driving force behind the documentary on Earl, he should surely know where it can be purchased or maybe it can be seen on PBS or some other viewing platform.
Fingers crossed that I reach Mike soon. I will post any information I find.

Storyteller is listed on the museum website, but you don't seem to be able to order online. You may have to call the museum and see if they still stock it and can mail it to you.

Brenda, I am probably the only person on the planet that doesn’t have any social media. I got ahold of Mike’s phone number late tonight so I will reach out to him in the next few days.
I don’t tweet, am not on Facebook, not even sure what Instagram is and if someone offered me a million dollars to “Do a selfie”, I would have to say “I will remain a pauper since I have never done a selfie in my life and have no clue how to do it!” There, I said it - I own it - I’m just an old fuddy duddy who is livin’ in them olden days and don’t have no know how to do all them things these young whippersnappers know how to do!”
I guess I really do appreciate The Waltons era in more ways than I care to admit. But, I have never had social media and I have never missed it!

^ I don't do social media either. I don't even have a cell phone to send texts. Facebook is really mean if you don't have an account and there is very little a person can do on Facebook if you're not a member. So many of these sites put up a wall to force people to sign up to view a page. The same is happening with many news websites. Subscribe (and pay a monthly fee) or you can't read the articles.
The internet isn't free anymore.
But good luck with Michael. I hope he can help you.

Then I said...WHO IS THIS??? And she laughed. My friend is also very anti-technology. I told her I had not received her text but it's probably just as good that I had some warning as I might have dropped dead from shock. 🤣

You may sign up using a nom-de-plume. That works fine. Then you can visit all their pages on those platforms.

I was also going to suggest that Mike is on FB.
With regard to being on FB, there are so many groups that I belong giving me information about all manner of things. I rarely post but I would miss it if I wasn't on there. Many of my groups are private too so people outside the group can't see posts.
For me being over in Australia, it also means that I have a way of keeping in touch with all manner of Waltons things.
Beside The Waltons though I also get a lot of historical photos from within Australia, family history information from all parts of the world, theatre information from all over the world, and groups about things I collect. There's things I would never know about if it weren't for FB, so not all bad. It's all in the way you use it!

Kazk - as someone who lives in Australia, I have a question related to my Mom. But not on The Waltons. Years ago, I picked up my phone to hear a lovely Australian accent from a man, asking me if I was Nora Marlowe’s daughter? I replied yes, but was curious how he got our unlisted number? He said he must have called 10 people in the States and finally someone at SAG took pity on him and gave him the contact number they had on file for my Mom’s beneficiary.
He began to say he was one of my Mother’s biggest fans from watching her on a TV series called. “My Living Doll.” This was a show starring Bob Cummings, Julie Newmar and Jack Mulaney all living in the same house. I don’t even remember the plot, but I think Julie was a robot or something like that, but no one really knew. I never saw one episode so I didn’t know much about it. But he swore the show was a big hit in Australia. When Bob Cummings left the series, the censors did not feel it was right that Jack Mulaney was living in a house with Julie Newmar - them both being single. So, my Mom was brought in as Bob Cummings’ sister to be the “chaperone.” The show didn’t last long, but he asked me if I had any copies of my Mom’s performances in it as it was such a hit “down under” that he wanted the whole series and he only had copies of a few with my Mom. Sadly, I couldn’t help him out. He was sorely disappointed, but we chatted and he couldn’t have been nicer.
So, I was just wondering if you ever saw that show and if, indeed, it was such a hit in Australia as he said?
One side note: Jack Mulaney was a dear man and good friend of my Mom’s who came over to our house quite often for dinner as he was single. He was delightful. He starred in 2 movies with Elvis Presley. Jack, as many actors experience, did not always have a reliable car and had to take the bus sometimes. Well, it turns out that one day Jack was sitting on a bench waiting for a bus in Hollywood when Elvis drove by and saw him waiting. The next day, Elvis delivered a brand new Mustang to Jack’s house. It just showed up with Elvis’ message “So you won’t have to wait for a bus ever again!” Needless to say Jack was flabbergasted and so incredibly grateful! So, all those stories of Elvis’ generosity were quite true. What an amazing gift!
Sadly, a few years after that, Jack had a massive stoke and lingered in the hospital for a short time before he died. He was only 51. His only family was his sister, I think. But, all of us who knew him and loved him for so many years were totally heartbroken along with his legion of fans. He was truly one of the good guys.
