I'm not a fan of cancel culture, but I don't think that's what happened to the Cuomos. Yes, there's a place for forgiving and moving on. Hopefully we do that with our loved ones. I'm sure the Cuomos will find grace within their own families and among others who care about them personally.
But we do have the right to hold our elected representatives to a standard of behavior. I don't automatically believe accusers -- be they men or women. However I don't think Andrew Cuomo out and out denied the accusations, so I don't think he was innocent. As for his brother...I agree with Nikki that the firing was appropriate. I also agree with Nikki that he's not really a journalist (I think that's what you said, Tracey.) Chris Cuomo is a highly partisan political commentator. Now, to be fair, "journalists" are going the way of the dinosaurs, a fact that makes me very sad.
I think the Cuomo brothers' fatal flaw was their hubris. While I don't know them personally and can't speak with authority on what they really thought or felt, the perception I got was that they felt they were above reproach. When you catch yourself feeling like that, hang on tight because you're getting ready for a mighty big fall.

While going to parochial school for most of my life, I am sad to say that we never studied the Bible. How weird is that? My husband is a voracious reader and if he doesn’t understand something completely then he buys reference materials or other books to help explain it or expand on the knowledge he already has.
Dale has read the Bible cover to cover THREE times with between 3-5 reference books at all times by his side. He is very knowledgeable about the Bible and can destroy me in any biblical topic in Jeopardy! It is embarrassing how little I know about the names and places mentioned in the Bible.
I completely agree that “Pride goith before a fall.” I just can’t abide it when there is someone gleefully by your side sticking a foot out to trip you!

^^^ Lol, Easton.
Tracey, I agree we shouldn't be gleeful for the misfortunes of others. Despite being Catholic, I do have a healthy respect for "karma." 😉 As a New Yorker, one of only a handful of states that does NOT have term limits on the governor, I am looking forward to a chance for change.
