A special thank you to Brenda for setting up this place where I can share some of my Mom’s favorite memories of her many years, as Flossie, on the Waltons!

A special thank you to Brenda for setting up this place where I can share some of my Mom’s favorite memories of her many years, as Flossie, on the Waltons! We are thankful for Brenda, too. And we are thankful you have joined us! I just saw your mom on the episode, "The Sermon." John-Boy gave a few pointed jabs at her and Corabeth for gossiping about his mother and boy did they squirm in their seats! Your mom conveyed so much in that scene without uttering a word. What a gifted actress. 💗

^ Wholeheartedly agree. Another shining moment was in The Firestorm when she stood up and joined John-Boy to read the German Bible. There were so many emotions visible on her face and in her eyes, and your mother portrayed each one of them at the same time: fear, trepidation, pride, hesitancy, duty...
And then, of course, there was that magnificent German which made so many people wonder if your mother actually spoke German. Few actors and actresses are as committed to their craft to achieve such a convincing performance.

Hi Flossie's Kid, So happy that you are here. Now I can share with you how sad I was when your mom's character died on the show. I remember getting very emotional about it. Losing her and Grandpa at the same time was very sad. Look forward to hearing more of your memories. Welcome to the forum!!
