I think it's cool that his last name was Brimley on the show, too. He sent me an autograph around 12 years ago while we were living in Guam. I wish that I would have had a chance to meet Mr. Brimley. He will be missed.

I will always remember him as the Quaker Oats guy. "It's the right thing to do.": I remember that Ad. It's too bad about Quaker Oats. I used to like them, but since they've been spraying their contracted fields with glyphosate (Round-Up) to hasten the ripening of the grain, that herbicide is now in their oatmeal. I won't eat any more Quaker Oats until I see them certify on their package, from non-GMO oats and they don't spray with glyphosate prior to harvest.
