I so wish that I could be there to see Lisa again. She was so kind to my wife Marisol when we were at the 2004 Waltons Reunion in CA. Marisol did not really speak English at that time, but Lisa was so reassuring to her. I will NEVER forget her kindness!

Thanks Brenda I know that Jon lives in UK. Cornwall. Not too far from my mother and older sister. Unless he has moved recently ? I just wasn't sure if he was still with Lisa. I know that Jon was doing gigs in Cornwall. I know that he loves Port Isaac. Better known over here as the place where DOC MARTIN is filmed. If it wasn't for this virus I would be down there now visiting mom.

Lisa Harrison was at the John & Olivia's B & B, I believe it was the first weekend of this past November. My youngest grand-daughter and I had that date in mind of going, but she had last minute plans and also once the word got out that Lisa was going to be there that weekend filled very quickly. We did go shortly after though and enjoyed the weekend and the beauty of it all and many of the Wineries and Cideries around the area.

Schuyler is beautiful -- I attended two Waltons reunions there, but that was before the B&B was built. I hope to visit it one day. I also enjoyed visiting Monticello and Appomattox while I was there. But my favorite place in VA -- and maybe anywhere -- is Colonial Williamsburg. Gosh, I love it there!! Been there so many times I can't even count. I want to drive down to Florida one day to visit my sister, but if I do that, I may never get past Virginia. 🤣

So many places in Virginia and especially the places you have mentioned like Schuyler and Williamsburg and even Charlottesville are like night and day to Manhattan, Queen, Brooklyn or The Bronx. Don't get me wrong, I love New York City and would never trade in being raised here. Now I never grew up in a terrible area of New York City so I have nothing to complain about, but still NYC is so different from any of those places in Virginia and that is why I liked to visit there. In my younger days I have visited Williamsburg, VA. several times and just love the history of it. I even have taken my grand-daughters there when they were younger. I have been to Monticello and Appomattox. When I did visit Schuyler, I was only there once and I went for The Waltons and took my youngest Grand-Daughter who is 23 years old. There was some Waltons things to do in the area such as The Museum and the B & B was wonderful, but the small town had so much more that we enjoyed for the long weekend we were there. I don't really get many places that are a good driving distance away from my place in NYC now after my husband passed away in 2020 mostly because of the distance driving alone and if I would have to drive at night so if I do go somewhere that is a distance away it is with either one of my two daughters or one of my four grand-daughters.

See, this is why I need grandkids! As of now, if I want to go anywhere I'll have to drive alone if I outlive my hubby. I'd better start making young friends. 😁

I just don't feel safe driving long distances away from home at my age and also at night. My daughters and grand-daughters agree. One great thing about living in NYC is the subway. I would never take the subway in the evening.

I'm so happy being in the privacy of my own vehicle, playing the tunes I want to rock out to. (I like country now, so not sure I'm still "rocking out.") 😎

It might be more expensive, but safety wise it is a better choice for a woman in there 70's.
