I am not sure which episode this is. It was on not long ago in the morning on Hallmark. A man ( hispanic) had known Curt and comes to tell MaryEllen about him. They kind of have a thing and kiss. He got in trouble with the law for breaking a guys arm, who is pressing charges. Anyway they are on a picnic with JohnCurtis and the guy pulls out a sucker from his shirt sleeve and hands it to JohnCurtis , who puts it in his mouth. Then takes it out again. It is a sucker I remember giving my own kids when they were younger, it has a clear wrapping on it. Anyway: When he puts it in his mouth it still has the cover on it, so it looks to me.

This episode is from Season 8 called "The Medal". he played Sgt. Edward A. Ramirez

I think it probably was a lemon drop. They were very common in the 1940s and 1950s. You still can find them but not as frequently as you did then.

For some reason I get an error message trying to post bloopers at this website, but I noticed two mistakes in the blooper list itself. The mistake I found is in some of these bloopers. It's true that blue eyes are recessive and brown eyes dominant, but but if the child has a relative, particularly a parent or grandparent with brown eyes, their parents can still have a brown eyed child if both parents each have one gene for the dominant trait. They would in that case have some children with the dominant trait and some with the recessive trait In any case the actresses aren't required to have the same color eyes as their characters Also, in "The Secret" Jim Bob's twin brother is not mentioned once and never again. He is mentioned again in season 6 when Jim Bob meets a friend of the same name as his brother who is eventually adopted by epp bridges.

The third Child id "Matt" Mentioned in the "The Dustbowl cousins" This may not be considered as a blooper but in the episode "The Awakening" grandma is having problems with her hearing and she doesn't want to admit that there is a problem. She is in her bedroom and Olivia has Mary Ellen to take a tray of food into her and grandma gets upset with Mary Ellen and tells her that she will come to the table to eat and she goes on to tell Mary Ellen all the hard work she has done in her life and she also says she has bore 3 children. I know Grandpa and Grandma had Ben who died in the war and of course John but has anyone heard anything else about a 3rd child? That is true. She actually have 3 children. The 3rd is unknown probably died at birth..

I can't remember the name of the episode but it was the one where Ike Godsey and Jim-Bob were looking for uranium and found some dirt that they thought had uranium in it. When Ike and Corabeth took the uranium to where ever it was, they showed a building briefly and then zoomed in on a window of the building. If you look at the cars parked in front of the building you will notice that they were sixties models. It looked to be a Volkswagon Beetle, a late sixties Chryler and a Volkswagon station wagon and I could'nt tell what the other cars were.

In "The Foundling," when Elizabeth is first stuck in the trunk in the haunted house, the deaf girl (Holly?) knows she is in the trunk because part of Elizabeth's blanket is sticking out on the front side of the trunk near the lock. When John gets there, they show two close-ups of the trunk and the blanket is not visible. When he opens the trunk to get Elizabeth out, the blanket is hanging out on the left side of the trunk.

In this episode, "The Fire" at school, Lutie confronts Miss Hunter by writing, “REPENT” in a large letter on the blackboard then he argues with her, saying she is not a teacher when she talks about humans coming from apes then she head back to her desk and I've noticed the letter "E" behind her became smaller. Does anyone ever pay attention??

Perhaps, the tragic story of Jim Bob's birth was never spoken of much was because it could have been hard/uncomfortable to do so. I'm not surprised. Lol, imagine if I was a producer of the show and I read this thread. I'd be pulling out my hair and gnashing my teeth for all the mistakes I had made.

In the episode where Ep Bridges and that city slicker guy are running for ? Mayor, the Walton family were wall sitting around the table and they were basically discussing how tough the competition was for Sheriff Bridges. Grandpa was going on about what a great guy he was, how he cared so much about people that if he picked someone up for drinking, he'd give them a clean white shirt so that they didn't have to go home looking dishevelled/bad.......he was really singing the praises of him. Then John pipes up and says "Don't sell Ep Bridges short, Grandpa......." (or maybe John said this to John boy?)....
I've seen several episodes, too, where the setting is supposed to be a night, outside.......and the immediate area looks dark but you can see the blue sky and sunlight through the trees.

I'm not sure if this would be considered a blooper but in the episode where John has his high school reunion, one his married classmates has 3 kids...and the youngest of the 3 is the little "british boy" - the one from the episode where he (name was "Pip") and his sister are temporarily taken in by the Waltons (from the Baldwin sisters), over Christmas. I always find it strange when shows use previous actors for different parts in other episodes. Just like when the guy who played Curt was the co-pilot in the Wing Walker episode, then he went on to play Mary Ellen's husband. I never understand why they do this.........surely they could have found other actors?

I noticed on some of the episodes that there might be one of the characters missing and not a thing said about it on that episode. What is the case there?

I noticed on some of the episodes that there might be one of the characters missing and not a thing said about it on that episode. What is the case there? You probably was thinking of David Harper that played Jim-Bob because he wasn't in two early episodes of the second season, "The Journey", (although he is credited for that episode), and "The Substitute". The ten-year-old just vanished for reasons unknown, and nothing was mentioned in these episodes to explain his absence.
