I'm not sure how many of you will be familiar with it, but Lego are putting out a video game called Lego Dimensions where they have Lego versions of popular characters from a variety of mediums meeting and interacting with each other on an adventure. Lego are including all kinds of things, and not only thing they've made Lego figures of in the past, I'm not sure of all of them, but I know they have Scooby-Doo, Doctor Who, The Simpsons, Lord of the Rings and definitely more. It's a fun, lighthearted romp. Lately, I keep fantasising about how great it would be if The Waltons got included in it too. They're pretty iconic and fit the kind of 'family entertainment' category that all the other included franchises fit into. Plus, as it is CGI Lego people, they don't have to worry about aging actors and could use archive sound clips for the actors who are sadly no longer with us. I'd love for this to happen (though it is unlikely) but I wondered how you people on here would feel if something like this were ever to happen? As somebody who's quite young, I'm into the world of video games and if it happened I'd easily be able to buy it and play it on my console, but I realise that option would not be available to most. Furthermore, it would introduce a new generation of children to the characters and raise interest in the series once again (perhaps enough to make another reunion movie!) and it would firmly establish them as timeless icons. Beyond that, it would simply be wonderful to have new Waltons media for the first time in sixteen years and I find it entertaining to think of them interacting with characters from the other series that will be included; The Simpsons and The Waltons arguing over who America "should be more like" (after that famous speech) or The Doctor giving John-Boy the power of 'partial regeneration' to explain the later change to Robert Wightman So how would you feel if something like this happened? Of course, this wouldn't be the best form for them to return (I think, if The Waltons does ever come back in some form, they should do a prequel series) but it would be something nice and something new... Plus, this is purely hypothetical! It would almost certainy never happen. I just think it's fun to think about this hugely unlikely possibility

I'm thinking a Lego Grandpa and John-Boy would be adorable. I actually fear mainstream interest because they would probably "remake" our family and remember how cringeworthy the Dukes of Hazzard and Brady Bunch remakes were? I shudder to imagine The Waltons turned into a modern, raunchy spoof of itself. Lawd, my blood pressure's up now

Interesting point, Heather! Like you, I would not like to see The Waltons remade or reimagined. But if they had these Lego Waltons and they were voiced by their original actors, I think it would cement the characters as being 100% tied to their actors, which would mean future media would work around the original, rather than reinventing it
