I wonder if Jason's guitar was a Martin and if so, where the money came from to buy it.

Didn't Jason win his guitar? Hey...I think you're right! He won it singing the "Ironing Board Blues."

I wasn't aware that Jason ever won a guitar on the show. Although at 50, my memory isn't the greatest anymore. I recall when he was composing the "Ironing Board Blues" he already had a guitar upon which he was doing so.
Thanks Jerry! I was thinking it must be a Martin. I assume it was a Martin appropriate for the time period that the show was set in. I wonder who has it now?

I looked at the guitar ...Paused on DVD....It is for sure a Martin (D15 I think) there was a clear view of the headstock.

I can easily picture Jason expanding his musical creativity into music like this.. It feels like this fellow has the personality & showmanship of Jason (Jon Walmsley)

Speaking of Jason's Guitar, the episode "The Song" was just on yesterday, on MeTV, with guest Erin Moran (later of Happy Days fame, of course) as Ben's crush and Jason's singing partner.

Actually Happy Days had already been on for over a year when this episode of The Waltons aired. Sadly, Erin Moran passed away in 2017, gone too soon. 😥
