Just guessing, but I would say 150 to 200. Carolyn would have to answer that question.

I asked someone at the reunion last year how many people was there, but I can't remember who I asked??? I know it was someone who would know - Carolyn, Vicky or her sister Cathy?? Seems like that person told me it was a hundred and seventy something (2013). There was a table or two that was pretty vacant at the dinner. I think Carolyn usually likes to stay at around 200 people. Some years every spot is taken, and some years there is a few seats left...you just never know. That's why I try to get my reservation in ASAP!

Hi Everyone,
Well I just returned home after a very exciting two days is Lynchburg, VA. My purpose was to finalize all the details regarding our 'Wonderful Walton Week-end!' And that I did. :-) There has been some remodeling in progress at The Kirkley Hotel and Conference Center! I was excited to see that the remodeling will be completed soon and we can enjoy the beauty of a brand new restaurant. And there are some other changes too. I am so looking forward to this reunion. I always feel such joy when I reflect upon past reunions, but this year I sense an extra special feeling in my heart.
Our attendance for the reunions vary from year to year. Our highest attendance was 210 one year. There have been times when I had to refuse our dear folks who wanted to come. So if you are reading this and you haven't responded, my suggestion is that you do so soon.
After getting everything taken care of at The Kirkley, we headed to Schuyler, VA. Our drive along Rockfish River Road was exciting and beautiful as ever. I never tire of seeing the beauty of God's handiwork - the hills, the meandering river and the big rocks. Hopefully those hills will be adorned in magnificent splendor upon our arrival this fall.
We also stopped by the 'Ike Godsey Store' and took our usual pics then headed on over to the Rockfish River darn. It was beautiful beyond description! More pictures :-) You must plan on visiting Walton's Mtn. Country Store near the Schuyler Baptist Church this fall. What a joy it was to once again tour the home place of our dear Earl Hamner, Jr. We then headed to Walton's Mountain Museum. It's always a joy to chat with Patrick and to tour the museum. Brings back lots of memories.
And once again as were heading home to North Carolina, I found myself singing, "Carry Me Back to 'Ole Virginny." And I will make that journey again soon - this time with many of YOU!
Hopefully, sharing with you about my recent journey will create more excitement and you will have a desire to join us for our Wonderful Walton Week-end!
It is now 12:36 AM so Good Night to all my FRIEND around the WORLD!
