"Old time radio" might mean different things to different people. Do you mean old radio shows from when before TV was popular? Or do you mean old music, 1950s and earlier. If you meant "Old radio shows". Jeri-Jet mentioned one station a few months ago. Here it is. Old Radio Shows

Growing up with a mother who was an antique dealer, things that were relics to the rest of the world were common household items to us. One of which was my radio. I do not recall the brand, but it had tubes in it and it was from the 30's.
One of the advantages to tubed radios is that the reception was not only very clear but the range was amazing. There was a radio station in Denver Colorado that used to play old time radio programs. Starting at about 10 pm my time every Friday and Saturday night. And even though I was in a little town of two-thousand people some twelve hundred miles west of there, that old radio brought those programs in so clear I felt as though the characters were right in my bedroom. Playing solely for the personal entertainment of a 14 year old girl.
I would turn the lights off in my room, crawl under the quilts of my old brass bed, lay on my side and stare into the warm glow of that old radio. There I would meet Edgar and Charlie, Fibber McGee and Molly ("I gotta clean that closet out one of these days!" LOL!), The Bickersons, Amos and Andy, George and Gracie, Jack Benny and Rochester, The Great Gildersleeve, The Shadow and many others.
About two years later, the programs stopped. I was very sad and disappointed. Now I have those programs on CD's. But it's still nothing compared to the warm glow of that old radio.

Thanks y'all for the feedback. Dowsee, yes that's exactly what I meant...old radio programs before the days of tv. Thank you for the link!

When I was a little girl we lived on an Army base in Munich, Germany (It is now an apartment complex, no longer a base), and we didn't own a television. We listened to the radio and I think there was a show my brothers liked having to do with the Green Hornet. Not positive.

Ask and ye shall receive. I am too grateful for all the info and even more ecstatic that I'm not the only one. Funny thing ....while searching and browsing the links you shared, I thought...maybe there's an App for that. Sure enough I found a great App!!! I listened to all kinds of good stuff. Using the different links I was able to listen to some of the news during that time. Now I'm on my way to check out this Facebook page ?

Oooh -- it would be wonderful to hear some of the news programs of former years! And -- I forgot to mention that the programs on CHML include the commercials.... a riot!

Just search "Old Time Radio" and you will find a variety of sources. There are also podcasts dedicated to the theme, actor, show, etc. Glad to have another OTR fan in the room!
