Well, now, in addition to dropping The Waltons, Hallmark has also discontinued Murder She Wrote and Perry Mason. Major woe .... I may have to stop buying their greeting cards.....

I think greeting cards mean more today than ever before -- takes some actual effort, instead of just sending an email or making a phone call. I've kept it going in my family, and the rest of them are following suit. Yay!
However, I may now avoid Hallmark, including their wrapping paper, ribbon, ornaments, etc.!!! I'll even chop up my "rewards" card....

You need to let Hallmark know how you feel. If they think enough people are going to stop watching their network and buying their products, maybe they will actually listen.

Sorry Hallmark, but I have not bought their cards in years. Too expensive. I buy my cards at the dollar store.

Jeri, I was responding to the remark that they had been removed from Hallmark. I didn't know that they were back on Hallmark in the first place. Note that I asked what time they 'were' on.. past tense.

Marilyn, The Waltons was on Hallmark quite recently. I can't remember when the show was removed, but they still have it on their website. Maybe they plan to start airing The Waltons again. We can hope so. www.hallmarkchannel.com/thewaltonsThe Waltons is on for 2 hours on INSP now? I didn't know that. I see it at 9:00 PM (eastern time). What other time is it on?

Oh they're always changing it around. How close are they really focusing on what the viewers want especially for. Small cable stations. Glad I have the DVDs. Sorry for those who dont. WmFan

I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices Hallmark gets for their cards, but I DO like buying cards for special occasions. I think it's sad that more and more people are not bothering with Christmas cards anymore. I know that stamps are expensive, etc., but I think Christmas cards are a nice tradition. And oh, by the way, Hallmark has made me use waaay too many tissues over the years watching their commercials

We send out Christmas cards every year...tons of 'em... plus a Christmas letter. For awhile the Christmas letters were getting a bad rap and some people stopped them, but then others realized how boring just a plain card can be, so the letters started up again.

We send out Christmas cards & a family newsletter every year. The past few years I have enjoyed having the collage cards made up (being able to use 6 to 8 photos on the card) to send out. Everyone "claims" they really enjoy getting our letter to read about what our kids have been up to through the year. I hope they are being truthful! LOL! Last year I was thrilled to be able to include in the collage, a photo of Lynn Hamilton & I plus a photo of my husband & I with Hal Williams. Both pictures were taken at Carolyn's Waltons 40th Fan Club Reunion.
