Nellie was a natural evil. Nancy came across as forced. Not believable to me.

I agree. I didn't like Nancy at all. I loved the character of Nellie.

I agree. I didn't like Nancy at all. I loved the character of Nellie. I guess they thought they needed someone similar to Nellie in order for Harriet to want her.... but then it became ridiculous as she became more and more just a poor carbon copy.... I thought Percival was the perfect "partner" for Nellie and loved the way she started changing -- it was fun to watch. I remember years later when Nellie returned for a visit, Laura and Nellie's friendship had blossomed in adulthood -- was that a tv movie (after the series had ended) ?
