It's been quite "slow" since Hallmark dropped the show.... for many of us, that was the only way we could view if we don't have the dvd's.... I, for one, sometimes need inspiration from the viewing of actual episodes. And I miss them desperately !!

I was in Colorado Springs with the Quin family and now I am headed out to las vegas to hang with my CSI team. I am like Jeri Jet, if I am not watching, I don't post as much.

If I'm home in the morning I may catch the GMC episodes. Too bad they dont have an evening one. Likewise with INSP when they had a morning or noon time episode. I realize its about television and demographics of many different vieweres and newer show reruns like 7th Heaven and others attract some. Thats why I'm glad to have DVDs but some dont and I dont miss the commercials either and can watch when I want. But Ill catch a good episode when its on during a long day its relaxation. Keep posting friends(I would miss you if you weren't here). This forum in a way is like watching and talking about the Waltons and of course keep watching the Waltons! Talk soon. WmFan Sportwriter

It is really getting quite around her. For me, some of it is the new forum look.I don't know why.
Brenda are there any website stats available?
It would be interesting to know how many visitors there are daily.

I agree, it is really quiet. I will log in and look to see the recent posts, and lots of times it never changes for hours. It will be someones name, and under it say, 23 hours ago, or something.
Is it the new layout? Are people just getting busy, or losing interest? I'm sure it will pick up again soon

This is Post Number 1500 for me since November 2011 when I joined. So I'm posting and reading and watching. Sometimes posting on here comes in waves like anything else. Maybe how much they show it on tv has something to do with it. But coming on here. Is fun almost like watching another episode because we have the interest and passion to talk about theWaltons and other stuff and we've made a lot of friendships. So let's keep it going when there are lulls slow periods and when it's busy. Take care and talk soon friends. WmFan Sportwriter And the new frum is a little different but pretty much the same and not bad

WmFan Sportwriter I haven't been here among you very long, but I agree with you, wmfan/waltonsportwriter, that it helps to own the DVD's to get that "Walton fix" and keep your enthusiasm up! With that said, the prices for some of these DVD's seem to have gone through the roof, so it is an expense to invest in them and not everyone can do it. We purchased all nine seasons in January 2012.... six from the Warner Brothers Store online and the other three from Amazon. Warner Brothers was selling them on sale for a mere $10.00 a DVD one year ago. What a bargain we got for those six! Now, at Warner Brothers, the "sale price" is anywhere from $18-$26, with the full price being upwards to $40.00 for some of the seasons. I am left wondering, "What happened to these prices?" In our home, we keep one of the seasons in the DVD player all the time and watch an episode when nothing much else is on cable in the evening. We don't have GMC, only the one episode on INSP in the evening. Right now, we are working our way through Season 4. Last night, it was "The Prophecy" and "The Breakdown." We thoroughly enjoyed two glorious hours of Walton watching, and it sure ups my enthusiasm!

I now have all the seasons, the Homecoming and the after series movies on DVD. The Waltons are the only show I really care to do this for and I can watch anytime. Look for bargains at Walmart or other variety stores where they sell and rent videos. Or order on Amazon .com. That's how I got all my Walton videos mostly for bargain prices. And now I have them all! WmFan
