Happy days! a channel here has been playing The Waltons from season 1 to season 9 each morning on a loop since a year ago and I have been watching every episode. Yesterday was The Revel and the end of the show and this morning we are right back to The Foundling once again. It is so nostalgic because there's all the family together again as they should be; wonderful grandpa is there and grandma, John-Boy is still in school, Jim-Bob is a little boy and even Reckless the dog is there too. This is my one indulgence each morning before I get the kids out of bed for school...it is so good to see the Walton family young and together again. Happy days

I know how you feel. Wrap-around time is a fun time to watch The Waltons. One of the biggest differences (other than the obvious change in John-Boys) is the allotted episode time for the semi-regular characters. I love the Godsey's and Baldwins but, enjoyed the show better in the early years when they were not fully half the episodes.
Another fun Walton thing I like to do with the DVDs is have a Kami Cotler marathon. I pick an Elizabeth-intensive episode from every season and watch it through. It's fun to watch Kami go from adorable six years to beautiful sixteen years old.
