Thank you for the suggestion, Ruthie Mae, but I don't have a photobucket account and I don't want to open one just for this purpose. I have to see what could be wrong. The copy and paste function should work. You can't copy and paste an image that is stored on your computer and have it show up on the internet. Every image on the internet has an URL. You must upload it from your computer to somewhere on the Internet, then copy and paste the URL of the image into your signature, as Ruthie Mae described. OK, so I created a photobucket account and uploaded the picture there. My banner will probably be the only picture I have on Photobucket... lol. I then copied the url and pasted it in the signature field of my profile. My Keeper banner is now displayed on all my posts.
Thank you Ruthie Mae, Brenda, and our Forum Administrator for your help.

I like it! It's okay to have only one image in your photobucket account. It's your account. You can use it however you want.

martind28vr, You are now the official keeper of Ike's bow tie. Do you want to make your own banner?

Would you like your name on the banner to be martind28vr or Jerry?

Why can't I paste the picture into my signature. The picture will copy, but the "paste" function is grayed out and it will not paste into the signature.
I assume that is where the picture file needs to go to become the banner. I'm no expert at all, but the way I added the keeper to my signature was like this:
I uploaded my keeper to photobucket. Then, I copied the url from that photo into the signature box.
Maybe there's a different or better way to do it, but that's how I got mine to work. I'm pretty new here and don't know much about it, to tell the truth, but it worked when I did it.
Ruthie Mae - Your keeper turned out really nice. I like it!

Thanks to all who admire my keeper. I think that all the keepers are excellent, and the idea is just plain fun. I commented earlier that there are so many obvious keepers yet to be claimed. I see that fyrwyf has just laid claim to the most obvious keeper of all, Walton' s Mountain. How did that one slip by? I see that John Walton' s glasses are kept, but not John-Boy's glasses. How about John-Boy's mole? Who would like to keep that? Surely someone... Anyway, these boards are fun. Good night mountain people.
