I've looked and cant seem to find the exact rules for becoming a keeper. I am pretty new here but would love to become a keeper when I'm eligible. Not sure what all is available but my request is to be keeper of the actual mountain- Waltons Mountain. If it's already taken I respectfully and wholeheartedly understand. And I'll have to give some thought to something else. Waltons Mountain is significant to me because my grandfather who grew up much like the Waltons always told me he wanted a Waltons Mountain of his own. He passed away 2 years ago and I now carry on that dream of his of one day living in such a beautiful place as Waltons Mountain with just a simple living as the Waltons do. Attachments:

Well, I am here for more than two weeks, now, and I am discerning a keeper item. I am surprised that there are some very obvious items that are still available.
I would like to be Keeper of the "Goodnight" Wishes. There are pictures available of the last scene in every episode that shows the house from above, when everyone says goodnight. Such a picture could be used for a banner.
What do you think?

I think that is a great idea for a keeper. What would The Waltons be without those "good-nights" at the end of every episode? Do you want to make your own banner, or would you like someone else to make it?

I can't give up my Verdie! I love my Dr Pepper but I love my Verdie too! That shows you how much I care for Verdie as anyone who knows me personally knows I'm Dr Pepper crazy. I'm a Dr Pepper fanatic and I love my Dr Pepper collection, it's a true passion of mine, just like The Waltons is. Too bad Verdie never appeared on The Waltons with a bottle of Dr Pepper in her hand.
I really like that Brenda took the time to make that Dr Pepper/Walton picture for me. Means a lot to me.

Do you want to make your own banner, or would you like someone else to make it? I am attempting to make my own banner. I have Photoshop Elements. I am not a graphics wiz, or anything, but I will try to put something together. It certainly will not match up to the quality of some of the banners I see here.

I'm sure it will look great. I just have an old (2004) version of Photoshop. Looking forward to seeing your banner.

OK, so here is the banner. I simply imported two images into the file and changed the one clipart-type graphic to black and white. I will attempt to insert it in this post:
Hmmm, it looks very small and blurry. I am sure the picture is 425x225 pixels. Is it small because it is an attachment and not part of my signature?

Why can't I paste the picture into my signature. The picture will copy, but the "paste" function is grayed out and it will not paste into the signature.
I assume that is where the picture file needs to go to become the banner.

I uploaded my keeper to photobucket. Then, I copied the url from that photo into the signature box.
Maybe there's a different or better way to do it, but that's how I got mine to work. I'm pretty new here and don't know much about it, to tell the truth, but it worked when I did it.

I have to see what could be wrong. The copy and paste function should work.

The copy and paste function should work. You can't copy and paste an image that is stored on your computer and have it show up on the internet. Every image on the internet has an URL. You must upload it from your computer to somewhere on the Internet, then copy and paste the URL of the image into your signature, as Ruthie Mae described.
