...had the honor of meeting Mary Jackson (Miss Emily) and/or Helen Kleeb (Miss Mamie) in person?  Or personally know of someone who did? If so, would you please tell when, where & details of the meeting? ;D Thanks. |

My friend Duane Shell has met Helen in-person and he's the one that took this photo of her! I follow him on Facebook, but I'm not sure if he is on here. He was at the California reunion on Friday, you probably saw him! He's also met Ellen Corby as well.   |

I would loved to have met the Baldwin Sisters. Just to sit and listen to them talk about their lives would have been a treat. I've always adored both ladies even when I was a tween/teen watching the original series!

I think I vaguely remember seeing Duane there. That is a great picture of Miss Mamie. How wonderful it must have been to have met her & Ellen Corby.

Mtdawg, I don't remember the names of the episodes, but one was when Ms Crump was having her class do a dance recital (sp) and one of the teachers in the very beginning was one of the Baldwins. Another one was when some guy was in jail for moonshining and Andy let his wife come pick him up for a few days off so he could work his fields or something like that. Actually there were two episodes I think, where Andy let a prisoner out for abit and one of the Baldwins was the wife in one of those but I don't recall which now. When I watch them again, I'll jot it down.

If you look them up on the IMDB, you'll find that they both appeared in many TV shows. On The Andy Griffith Show, Helen Kleebwas in the episode Andy and the New Mayor, and Mary Jackson was in 2 episodes, The Senior Play and Opie's Fortune. IMDB links: Helen KleebMary Jackson |
