I got through reading Earl biography last night,it didn't take me long to read it,I'm a fast reader. The book was really good.I didn't know that The Waltons won all those Emmy Awards the first year The Waltons was on.I also didn't know Earl wrote alot for television.I also didn't know he wrote The screenplays for Heidi, the 1968 version,Where The Lilies Bloom, and Charlottes Web.If anyone hasn't read the book, you need to read it.The name of the book is EARL HAMNER From WALTON'S MOUNTAIN to Tomorrow. The author is JAMES E. PERSON JR. I got the book as a Christmas present.

What a nice Christmas present. I went to a book signing in Schuyler when the book was first published, so my copy has been signed by the author and by Earl Hamner. It is a must read for any Waltons fan.

Iread a book ,The name of the book was The Hemingses of Monticello by Annette Gordon Reed. The book mentioned mentioned an ancestor of Earl Hamner Antonio Giannini,it mentioned he was a gardener for Thomas Jefferson.I've read several books on Thomas Jefferson, and probably Earl ancestor mentioned in those books, but I didn't recognize the name.
