I'm watching the Burnout and I know we have had several discussions as to who the audience thinks started the fire and how the writers left out who actually started the fire. Was there any other episodes in which the writers left the audience guessing? I can't think of another episode.

Well wasn't there lots of discussion on when the Walton boys were de-flowered, and who was kissing who? Some forum members got a lot out of different episodes, but I never did.

And we were never really told about Olivia's parents either as far as I recall.

I forgot about John Boy and the Woman and Simone....did he or didn't he? Mtdawg, I think you may have misunderstood my question. I am looking for an actual episode where the writers let the audience's (imagination) guess something happened or not.

Good one Mtdawg. Did Daisy find another partner? How else did she get the money to move?

How about The Odyssey. Was Sarah actually married to the baby's father? She gave two different versions of where he was.

Another good one Carol. I only saw part of that episode this week and could not remember the end.

You could say that The Prize left us guessing. Grandma said the other woman reentered an old quilt. It won first prize over Grandma's. At the end, when Grandma asked the woman to identify the various pieces, she coldn't do it. So was it an old quilt or not? Did Grandma get "done out of" her frist prize by a cheater?

Clyde, thanks! That's another one I forgot about. Grandma was very upset about that quilt.

Daisy had to have won the marathon and it is obvious that she found another partner and finished when Johnboy dropped out. Otherwise she would have been unable to make it to New York. I do not think Johnboy had anything like a relationship with Simone. If he had done so , at that time, he wouild have felt obligated to remain in Paris and marry her. The woman Sissy Spaceck played the part of may have been married but if so he ran away---unlike somethig Johnboy would have done to Simone.

Wasn't there an other couple who were in the marathon where the wife was pregnant and she was too exausted to finish. I thought Daisy paired up with him when JohnBoy quit. I think JohnBoy realized enough was enough when that overwieght man had a heart attack.

I think Daisy could have come up with the necessary money any number of ways.... I actually hope she didn't win the marathon -- there were others who needed the money more. Daisy was enterprising enough to come up with the money some other way. And, I think John-Boy definitely had SEX with Simone, or there was something wrong with him!! A red-blooded American, unmarried young man overseas during wartime ??!! Nothin' wrong with that.... and he wanted to stay with her or come back to her, remember ?? I like the way the series left us hanging after Sarah had her baby..... John Sr. put it best when he said it didn't really matter.....

How about when sissy spasic hid in the cabin and John boy helped deliver the baby.she gave 2 differant answers of where the father was. we were left guessing then as to where he was and if he was still in her life.
