The Christmas Guest-Reba McEntire
This was the most requested song when I worked in radio. If you've never heard it check it out on Youtube, it's beautiful!

Hark The Herald Angels Sing Silent Night O Little Town of Bethlehem I did not realize until a week ago last Thursday on THE WORLD OVER LIVE that Mel Torme had introduced this song on July 28,1961 in the middle of summer and it became a Christmas hit---THE CHRISTMAS SONG Actually, Mel Torme wrote the song in 1944 when he was only 19 years old. The first four lines were by lyricist Bob Wells..... Mel saw them, wrote the music and completed the lyric. Mel stated that it was a hot and blistering summer and he wrote the song "in an effort to stay cool by thinking cool." It was first recorded by Nat King Cole in 1946 and he recorded it a few more times over the years. Mel recorded it himself the first time in 1954 -- but Cole's 1961 version is considered to be the definitive recording today......
