On the tv series, the children had their own bed, but in the Homecoming, only John Boy had his own bed. I can't remember in the Homecoming (I'll rewatch later) but I thought the kids (except John Boy) shared a bed or was it 2 beds?

In a few episodes during Season 1 Jim-Bob and Elizabeth share a bed, but not often. It seems a bit odd, since there's a boys room and a girls room, but I just assume that Jim-Bob and Elizabeth were so attached to one another that they were allowed to share a bed some nights.

Jim Bob and Elizabeth were pretty young yet at that point so it didn't matter too much where they slept at that point. WmFan Sportwriter

I'm thinking Elizabeth and Jim-Bob had to go to bed earlier than the others so they were put in together. When I was little I slept with my brother for months while we were staying with our grandparents. Not a big deal - much more innocent times I suppose.

In the Homecoming I saw Jason in the bed with Elizabeth and Erin, Mary Ellen, and Ben in the other bed. Not sure where Jim Bob was? Guess I missed him. It was the scene where they hear the jingle bells of John Boy coming home with the Baldwins. Anyone else thinks this is strange? Why wouldn't Elizabeth be in the bed with the girls? You'd think they would have had a bed for girls and one for boys?

Maybe they just slept with which siblings they liked best? Boys or girls, doesn't matter. Again, way more innocent times.
