Caught The Magnificent Seven Ride for the first time in (I don't care to remember when I saw it last, I'm getting old). And for the first time realised it was Ralph. I have to say it is a totally forgettable film that even the talented Lee Van Cleef couldn't save (and I like westerns). I did wonder about Ralph's appearance, then thought perhaps he's like me a western fan and wanted to. Anyway it was still good to see him doing something else as well as John Walton (just for a change I prefer his 'John')

I enjoyed seeing him in the 1967 movie "Cool Hand Luke" with Paul Newman, Morgan Woodward & Robert Donner. Of course, Morgan Woodward would end up playing Boone Walton & Robert Donner Yancy Tucker along side Ralph on The Waltons . Also really enjoyed him in the 1993 movie "Cliffhanger" with Sylvester Stallone & Janine Turner.
Right now I am enjoying him playing the recurring role of the Dad of Special Agent Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) on NCIS, which airs on Tuesday nights on CBS.

I love it when he appears on NCIS -- perfect casting !
I think he is the only one who can get away with telling Jethro what to do !!
