I had no problem with you modifying my post Brenda. I just went ahead & totally deleted it to be on the safe side. I do not want to cause any pain to the Conley family. I just hope he gets better, so he can fully participate in future events. As I had said in my deleted post...I know how very much he enjoys all of the Walton fan events.

That's understandable Brenda! Is the forum no longer set on the private settings like it was before, where only registered and logged-in members could see the topics?? I thought we recently went to that format. RYAN-J Ryan, I had it set to private back in June, just to avoid situations like this. However, I got so many complaints about it that I made a poll to let the members decide whether or not it should be private or public. waltonswebpage.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=polls&action=display&thread=3115Since the majority wanted a public forum, I set it back to public, at least for part of the forum. Guests can still read the general board, the reunion board, the welcome board, and the episode discussions, as well as the polls. They have to log in to see everything else. Thanks for understanding. Brenda

You didn't have to delete the entire post, Kim, but of course that is up to you. I know that you are a great fan of The Waltons, and you wish only the best for Mr. Conley.

Mr. Conley did seem frail, but there could be any number of reasons why. He was very sweet, though, and alert when I talked with him. His wife Louise was so wonderful with him. Sending prayers - he's just lovely.

I was thrilled to meet Mr Conley and get his autograph at the reunion He wears hearing aids and his wife is a very dedicated helpmate to him. I wish him the very best and how wonderful that he cared enough to come and spend time with everyone even when he wasn't feeling his best.

I bought his book and sent it to him to autograph. His message was so sweet and made me lonesome for Walton's Mountain...

IMDB doesn't show him as having been on Petticoat Junction.... ?? He was, however, on sister sitcom Green Acres.....

I'm sorry! It wasn't Petticoat Junction, it was Mr. Ed.....I recently got digital cable, and I'm discovering new channels I didn't get before....Hallmark Movie channel shows Mr. Ed early in the a.m., and that's the first show I saw him on...I was FLOORED, and we were just discussing him here....The next time I saw him was on BH...the following day...
