Well I thought it would be appropriate to conclude my reviews of the Waltons shows and specials the week after the 40th Reunion. I’m glad to hear all of you who went had a lot of fun and shared stories, pictures and memories.
I have often considered these specials to be the 10th and 11th seasons of the Waltons since the first three were in the 1980s and the last three in the 1990s.
If they were to make one more reunion show which I hope they do before other cast members get older and die, especially Olivia and John played by Michael Learned and Ralph Waite who are in their 70s and 80s. The Children and the Actors who played them range from Richard Thomas/John Boy who about 60 now to Kami Cotler/Elizabeth who is about 47.
In a final reunion show I would like to see a fall wedding for Elizabeth and Drew, John and the family would build the house on the mountain and then they would have one last Christmas at the old Walton house. And to all a good night . Merry Christmas. I’m sure the new and the old Walton houses would be filled with Walton relatives for years to come. So lets hope it happens. But I enjoy talking with all of you about the Waltons as well and we’ve created our own unique writing family here I think. I'll try to think of some more unique things about our favorite family show sometime soon and would appreciate any ideas. Take care and talk soon. Wm Fan or Waltonsportwriter
