Looks to me like the writers would realize us fans who have watched the show would know when they overlook people or pretend they don't exist. Reminds me of some series of books I have read where some characters had married and had children and later on in one of the other books says they never married. All in all The Waltons was a great show and I enjoyed it very much and still am enjoying it BlueRidgeMountains

Yes sometimes writers get lax, fictional or make changes with their writing. If the show is good enough it will go on like the Waltons. Happy viewing waltonsportwriter

Some time ago I posted something about how you could get to like the most disliked episodes like The Tempest and The Whirwind, which is by recalling what was going on when the episodes took place, Howver the Forum Keeper said that these epsiodes were actually the result of a nightmare Mary Ellen had because she was apprehensive about changing her life after being a widow for four years. Also the red convertible was not owned by Cindy Brunson Walton. There were two Cindys. The first only appeared in Day of Infamy and was never seen again. Virginia did not die of scarlet fever, Grandpa's sister Amy died of scarlet fever when she was a girl. Virginia died in the fall of 1961 or the spring of 1962 and the cause was not mentioined. Since she was born in the spring of 1944 she would be about 17 or 18. Charlie did not die. No death was mentioned. He was just missing in the Reunion episodes. Mary Ellen may have adopeted the other children since the fact that even if Curt was not killed he could have died shortly after the trip to Florida IF you want the Whirwind to be a true-life episode if not a nigtmare for Mary Ellen.

I don't think it says that Amy was Zeb's sister anywhere.....

I know there were two Cindys. The one who played her in the Day of Infamy was not the one who played her when Ben and her got married. After Ben and Cindy were married Cindy told Ben that her father had given her that Red Convertable and in my keeper picture you can see Ben and Cindy running into the house and the Red Convertable parked in in front. This was when they got married

I thought there was only one Cindy, but she was played by 2 different actresses. We first meet Cindy on the "Day of Infamy" episode. That is when we first see the red convertible. The next time we meet Cindy is when she and Ben get married. This time Cindy is played by Leslie Winston, and the red convertible is definitely hers, because we see it many times after that. Remember when Serena stole the keys and Jeffrey drove it into a fence? And blueridgemountains is right, you can see Ben and Cindy running into the house right after they got married. That is the scene that I captured that picture from.
I'm really glad they changed actresses and Leslie Winston became the Cindy that Ben married, because she is one of my favorite characters on the show, and I think she fits into the family perfectly.
Also, the "bad dream" story about Mary Ellen was just my own little story, not something official. It's my way of dealing with 2 episodes that I just don't enjoy.

Yesterday, I heard Zeb mention Amy while showing JB some old letters (The Typewriter) and all he said was she died of scarlett fever - he never said who she was in relation to the family...

You are right about that, grtgzu. He doesn't tell us who Amy was, just that she died of scarlet fever. If I remember correctly, the only brother or sister of Grandpa who was ever mentioned were his brothers Henry, who was married to Martha Corinne, and Matt who was Cora's father (dust bowl cousins). Does anyone remember any other brothers or sisters of Zeb?
