THE WALTONS 40th Anniversary Reunion: Celebrating Family & Education is set for Saturday, September 29, 2012.

Join the cast of The Waltons—Kami Cotler, David Harper, Michael Learned, Mary McDonough, Judy Norton, Eric Scott, Ralph Waite, Jon Walmsley, creator Earl Hamner Jr. and a star studded assortment of Walton's supporting cast and friends—for their 40th anniversary celebration. The evening will benefit the Environmental Charter Middle School.

Scheduled to participate and attend include: Hal Williams, Bruce Davison, Ronnie Claire Edwards, Joe Conley, Lynn Hamilton, Florence Henderson, Jonathan Frakes, Genie Frances, Keith Coogan, Ellen Geer, Lee Purcell, Charlotte Stewart, Leslie Winston, Tony Becker, Martha Nix Wade, Morgan Woodward, Mariclare Costello, Angel Rhoades, Todd Bridges, Marla Gibbs, Glen Woodmansee, Michael McGreevey, Cissy Wellman, Mayf Nutter, Tom Bower, Claire Peterson, David Doremus, John Dayton, Michael and Marshall Effertz (formerly Reed), Paul Petersen, Richard Hatch, Stephen Collins, Mitch Ackerman, Lynn Guthrie, Scott Hamner, Radames Pera, Harvey Laidman, Julie Sayres and musical performances by classical jazz pianist Paul Cardall. 

***Disclaimer: Waltons cast members and special guest appearances are subject to change due to last minute schedule conflict. There will not be an autograph session. This evening is specifically to Honor the cast and all those who have contributed in making THE WALTONS a television classic.

The event takes place at The Historic Wilshire Ebell Theatre, located at 4401 W 8th St., Los Angeles, Calif. on Saturday, Sept. 29, 6:00pm-8:30pm (arrivals at 5:00pm).

3:00-5:45pm: WILL CALL tables will be open
5:00-5:45pm: Red Carpet Arrivals
5:00-7:15pm: Silent auction in The Ebell Theatre Lobby_
6:00-8:30pm: Program
9:00-11:30pm: VIP After Party Dinner at The Ebell Club House (Open to VIP ticket holders and Special Guests only)

Question: I have seacrhed the discussions and have not seen any thoughts on the following-is there any transporation available for attendees going to the Saturday event (excluding the Warner Bros. Studio visit-which I understand will be busing) between the host hotel and theater and if not does anyone know the best mod of transportation. I understand car rental is always an option. Thoughts? yeah thats an interesting question emf673 as we too need to get from the holiday inn to the event on the saturday. We won't be hiring a car to get around, so I have been scanning a few sites to try and find out prices etc but yes if there was a bus or something Ray that would be great

jeeeprose, the Friday night event is the International Fan Club Reunion Dinner. It is in Burbank. An intimate event with lots of guests and pics and autograph opportunities. It will likely also include a tour of the Waltons set.

The Saturday night event (the one this thread is about) is a fundraiser for the school that Kami (Elizabeth) is principal of. It's in LA. This is a celebration with a program and a host and everything, with a VIP dinner afterwards. This one has a HUGE guest list - pretty much everyone who is still living that has EVER been on The Waltons has been invited.

I imagine most folks are going to both. I sure am!

I'm a new member but an old fan of the Walton's. Enjoy watching them everyday here in the Smoky Mountains on INSP and Hallmark Channel. Thanks to all the cast and crew that have brought so many memories back at a time when we need to see the good ole' days when life was so simple and beautiful and innocent.

I'd love to go but it's to far to travel from VA. I didn't get to attend the last reunion that was in Schyler b/c I was recovering from back sugery, so maybe next time but I know it won't be as big as this one. I too wish a network would at least record it & show later if it can't be done live.
