Does anyone remember which episode it was where Grandpa Walton says grace and his words are: "Family is for growin up in, for leavin, and for comin home to"? I have adopted this quote, but I don't exactly remember which of the shows it came from. Thanks,

It is from Season 5--The Wedding:
"Help us to remember that family is for growin' up in, goin' away from, and for comin' back to."
It's one of my favorites as well.

Oh my gosh, that would be perfect on a plaque to hang up!

It's a well-known phrase, and already available online to purchase as an unframed but double matted piece for $12.95: n6net.com/fam_grow_up_in.htm

I watched the Wedding last night in bed, both of them. Kind of dozed through a little of the first part of the first one, so didn't catch that prayer!
Checked out that link Jeri an I'd like to have it in a different look.

I've only used it for viewing slide shows that people send me.

When I saw "Grandpa's Grace" I immediately thought of the "trailing arbutus" prayers he used to do! My husband and I used to joke when someone at church would do a "rambling" prayer and refer to it at the "trailing arbutus!"
