We are all entitled to our opinions.....
I love The Waltons and each and every actor, but my love is not blind, and I simply don't think she is doing a very good job on Y&R.

Yes, we all do have our own opinions, but it gets a little tiring to routinely read only negativity from the same people over and over. Just for once it would be nice to hear some positive feedback on something.

It is my opinion that to some who have seen an actress such as Jeanne Cooper play the same spunky character for 30 years, it is hard to see someone else playing that part. It is also my opinion that, if some have not seen the actress, who is subbing, in a spunky role before might find it difficult to accept her in that type of role. I have and in person when I saw Michael in the play Driving Miss Daisy. Michael played a very spunky lady not only with the dialogue but with running around the stage and jumping up and down on stairs, so to see her repeat that type of performance I think that Michael is doing a very nice job in the role. My favorite line that she said today was suck it up. By the way, it may be that Scott and Michael know each other due to the fact that Scott is Earl Hamner's son, but I am sure that the powers that be at Y&R were very sure that Michael was and is a very accomplished actress whom they knew would deliver while Jeanne was away on her medical leave. The "suck it up" line was classic Katherine Chancellor and I cracked up watching Michael deliver it .

I used to be addicted to this soap....years ago and just loved the Katherine Chancellor character. It is impossible for anyone to come in and play that role and for regulars not to critique her. That being said, I'm sure she did a fine job, but she is Michael and Jeanne is Jeanne. I'll have to tune in and watch! P.S. Can you imagine someone coming in and playing Livy's role? NO WAY!

Don't watch soaps. Must be difficult to step in for an actress that has played the part for so long. Wish her well.
