I recently became single, thru divorce, and then not too long after that lost my 24 year old daughter to cancer, and I have to say, the various stations that have the reruns of the Waltons, really help to get thru some of the lonliness. I grew up like alot of Walton followers watching the show many years ago, but for some reason now, it makes some of the daily pain left from loosing my daughter not to hurt as much. Especially when there is a Walton marathon... Thank you so much!!!

Bella, I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother to leukemia almost three years ago, and watching The Waltons also brings me comfort, and reminds me of the more uncomplicated time of my youth.

bellachella62, my heart goes out to you. You've found a good place to come to for real friends and support. I also depend on the Waltons when I'm going through some rough times with health issues. I also have insomnia, so watch them every night on a little dvd player with headphones. They are my pacifier, so to speak!

The Waltons is better therapy than any pill or doctor. Glad you get some comfort from it bellachella62.

Hi, bellachella62. Sorry for your loss. The Waltons is one of the best show to watch.A good therapy. Sometimes, I love listen to the Waltons. As my mom is watching in the living room. It's like so soothing sounds to hear. (Sometimes, I'll watch a scene.) When, Thanksgiving comes. I'll be watching Thanksgiving episode.

I'm sorry for your loss bellachella62 and childfree23. It's nice to hear that others use the Walton's as "therapy". I do too. As soon as I hear the theme song I start to relax.
Marilyn- I remember you saying last year that you watch an episode before going to sleep....what season on you on right now? I took a break for a few months, but I'm back to watching an episode most nights. I'm watching season 5 right now because it's my favourite season, but I will probably start back at season 1 and watch through to the end again soon!

kaleigh, I was on season 6 again. I can't bear to watch the series after John Sr. left. Since the Waltons are on tv here 5 hours a day, I took a break from watching them at night because I was starting to get bored with them and I don't want to do that! Now I'm watching Northern Exposure.
