I know a few episodes in Season 9 were written by Scott Hamner (Earl's son) does anybody know if he has any books published or if he has done much other writing?

Darn, I was hoping he'd have written a novel I could buy!

Dear AR15, Some script writers do not succeed in other areas of the field. Do not become discouraged over this. Those who hope to go to Hollywood or New York to correct the cultural aspects often run into a stone wall. If you are interested in some of these items you may go to www.familytheater.org

I know a few episodes in Season 9 were written by Scott Hamner (Earl's son) .... Indeed, where the apple did not fall far from the tree. Scott penned several stories in Season 9 on Ep12: The Hot Rod, Ep17: The Threshold and Ep22: The Revel. Scott also appeared on The Waltons, in The Homecoming: A Christmas Story (1971), where he is the young boy listening to the missionary lady.

I have watched this movie dozens of times and never realized his children appeared in the missionary scene! Thanks for the pictures. That scene was the only one that disturbed me - I always wished that they would have given the doll a more proper “ending” or disposal somehow instead of leaving her on the cold hard ground surrounded by ripped paper. I was too sensitive as a child!

For me that scene made the story seem more realistic. Things do not always happen as we would want or hope.

Elizabeth got a broken doll and it scared her.".
