Maybe this was in a episode and I forgot but , for example, the Baldwin sisters certainly were not hunters. Who provided the meat for them?
John? Someone else?
If there was a woman who was single how were they getting their meat?

Bought it from Ike maybe? Or a butcher shop in Rochfish or Charlottesville?

I agree with Carol. The Baldwin sisters seemed to have plenty of money, so they could afford to shop for food. In addition to shopping at Ike’s or other stores in Rockfish and Charlottesville, they could probably buy meat from local farmers who raised animals to butcher for meat.

I feel like their father set them up a trust fund. But how could that have survived when the economy crashed in the great depression. Or do I not understand how trust funds are set up?

^ The trust fund was set up in the bank in a separate fund for the sisters. Each month, they would receive a cheque from the bank, undoubtedly adjusted for inflation (or deflation). I should imagine that they would have had contracts with local farmers for things like eggs, bacon, other salted and smoked meats, various vegetables, and they would have been regular customers of the ice man.
From what I can recall, Ike could order almost any special items they might want or need.

They had a steady income due to "the recipe". Even during the depression hard core drinkers or the wealthy could still find a way to buy booze. They would hire someone to buy their groceries and deliver them. Occasionally they would go to Ike's store to buy notions and things like that.

Here are a couple of times of where people bought meat on The Waltons. In one of the early Thanksgiving stories (S2E10), Ben was supposed to shoot a turkey on the mountain but he missed. So Grandpa took Ben over to Mr. Higgins & Ben haggled with him for a farm raised turkey. The Baldwin sisters were invited to the Waltons Thanksgiving that year..
In A Day of Thanks (1982 film), they were once again getting ready for Thanksgiving and this time they were fattening up Isabella, Yancey's turkey for dinner. But in the end Jonesy didn't butcher Isabella and bought a turkey at Ikes store instead.
