Hey guys, I see the Walton's Museum General Store has two car models for sale. A 1940 Coupe and a 1938 Ford pickup. I'm going to guess maybe the last one was John Sr's vehicle? Any ideas on either one? They're at the bottom of this page - www.waltonmuseum.org/ike.html John's truck was a 1928 or 1929 Ford model AA pickup you can't tell which year it was because they were identical back then you had to look on the VIN. to tell the years apart. I don't remember anyone having a 1940 coupe.

Hey Tonyray,
You are right about the pickup. I am sure about that. John's pickup was not a 1938. I don't remember a 1940 coupe either.

You can tell the difference between the 28-29 and the 30-31 model A by the cowling and the door post. the 28-29 the cowling is in about 1 in. and the front door pose curves in toward the front at the bottom on the 30-31 the cowling is flush with the door. This is a 1928 model A And this is a 1931 model A

Hey Tonyray,
You really know your old cars. I've always liked the Model A but never had notice what you pointed out.

I was looking at one in a catalog today and showed hubby. We talked about the price. It's always been high priced and we can't figure out WHY? If I had room to store one, I'd have one, but as it stands, I don't have a walk-in pantry and my counter space is limited and already full, so I won't get one at this time, but I would really hesitate to pay that much for one. Why do they cost so much? I've used them in commercial settings, but that's it. They are nice to have!

I think it is the Kitchen Aid name. We have a Kitcen Aid dishwasher and it ain't woth a crap compared to the Kenmore we had before we moved. My wife is into this cake decorating thing so she got a new Kitchen Aid mixer after she wore out her grandmothers. old Sunbeam.

What is the make and year of the large black car driven by Sheriff Bridges in the Walton's?

Good question Jimbo. I'd have to take a closer look at it and see if I can figure it out myself. If I do I'll let you know.

... The car that I cannot identify, and I have asked about this before, is the car that the Baldwin sisters drive. Does anyone know what kind of car it is? I, too, would like to know about the Baldwin sister's car. Could it be a 1927 Oldsmobile? Anyone know for sure?

I'm almost sure it is a Studebaker, by the way the words on the emblem on the radiator slants but I could be wrong. I'll see if I can find out for sure though.
