Ben's pig was named Grover. Jim-Bob's peacock was named Rover. (Elizabeth's pig was named Jay-Bez.)

Wasn't there a Porthos somewhere?
(I'm guessing that he was the only survivor amongst three (or four) musketeers.)

Ben's pig was named Rover (from The Prize S2E7). I heard both Ben & John refer to the pig as Rover. At the end of episode we learn Rover belongs to George Porter. Olivia buy's him from George for $5. Jim Bob brought home a guinea-pig named Porthos. (from The Runaway S3E4) Jim Bob's peacock was also named Rover (from the Baptism S5E4). Rebecca Lee is right, Jim-Bob said, "Ben had a pig named Rover, why can't I have a peacock named Rover?". Elizebeth did have a pig named Jay-Bez (from Grandma Come's Home S6E22). There were no animals I know of named Grover. There was a doctor whose last name was Grover. Dr Fred Grover (from The Carousel S9E11) and there was a character Grover Cleveland Cathcart in The Prophecy (S4E4) A useful resource for animals on Walton's Mountain is William Atkins pages (our link at the bottom of the page)

Although I've didn't hear any specific mention of it, I suspect you're right. Would make some tasty sides of bacon, smoked country hams, smoked ribs, jowls, sausage & roasts.

Wasn't there a Porthos somewhere? (I'm guessing that he was the only survivor amongst three (or four) musketeers.) Porthos was the school guinea pig that Jim Bob was in charge of one weekend. Poor Porthos met an untimely and tragic end when he fell off of the dresser during the night.
