Hi all. I just wanted to let the Waltons Digest members here know that the January Digest will be out very late this month. Rod and I are leaving for New York tomorrow, and will be away for several weeks. I intend seeing Race, the play Richard Thomas is in, while I'm over there. Really looking forward to it.
Cheers, Karen

Just checking in to let you all know that I'm having a great time in New York City. The weather has been terrific...cold but terrific, although its just started raining this afternoon.
I did get to see Richard Thomas in Race the other night, and talked to him after the show. Got a nice pic of us together which i'll post when I get home, and an autograph. There were lots of Waltons fans waiting for autographs that night. Many of them had photos of Richard and asked him specifically to sign John Boy Walton as well. He ended up just doing JBW because there were so many. He is such a lovely, gracious man.
The show is very good. Certainly lots to think about with regard to how we view race and what we consider to be racist. We'll be home on Friday, so the January Digest will be out some time after that. I'll try to get the January one out before it's February. :-)

I was glad to receive my Waltons Digest for January a little while ago. It had news about a Marcus Welby 1969 appearance by Richard Thomas and it was almost like a Waltons prequel. In addition to this there was an article about Richard Thomas---he has a beard now!!!

My Waltons Digest has arrived also. I've seen that episode of "Marcus Welby,M.D." but it was a long time ago,I think on TV Land. I think I remember the "Waltons" stars other than Richard Thomas on that episode with him. Excellent job as always,Karen. I am glad you and Rod returned home safely.

Yes, I sent the January Digest out yesterday. No doubt the February one will be a little earlier in the month. I also posted the pic of Richard Thomas and myself over at my Waltons Blog. If you'd like to see Richard rugged up on an extremely cold night in New York you can head across to thewaltons.wordpress.com/. For anyone here who is not a member of the Waltons Digest, but would like to be, just PM me here, with your email address, and I can add you to the list. There's over 400 members currently, from all around the world. The Waltons Digest has been running since 1997 and is a kind of email fan club.
