Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear about that:( I'm glad things are going better now!!! ❤️ And really, I try to make friends with fellow 'geeks, nerds' as they are usually so nice! (Not trying to stereotype, but in my school it's true) Thank you. Things are slightly better ( the key word is slightly) I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. With my life, I've learned a gentle self -deprecating humor does help a bit. I've learned to embrace my nerdyness/geekness/weirdness. I know I'll never be on the cover of any fashion magazine and I'm fine with that. Few of the kids make fun of me because of my faith. I'm a Born Again Christian (some what vocal at school at times) and just awkward social skills at times. I do have a strong feeling ( perhaps a calling from God) that I'm here to help people. They're many hurting people with deeper emotional wounds I'll never understand, as a future psychologist,hopefully I can help and know life is worth living. I'm glad things are getting better my friend ❤️😊 |

Molly, at the age of 13, you have no idea what you're going to look like. Over the next few years you will change a lot. I know that is not at all relevant to your good character, but I just want to mention that. There's also nothing wrong (as you get older) to do things that enhance your confidence like changing your hairstyle, getting contacts, wearing make-up....IF you wanted to. Also, the most attractive thing about someone is self-confidence. People flock to those who exude self-confidence. You sound like a wonderful person in so many ways. Don't dismiss yourself so easily. I was shared this thread to look over by another member earlier today and I understand this is something that has not been posted on in a few years, but it is still a very important subject in my opinion. I think I wrote before when I was still attending public schools until very recently, I wasn't really in the in crowd or considered in the crowd that wasn't liked at all. I was just there at school and did my thing. I was not bullied nor do I ever bully anyone. I was actually on the student committee against bullying in the school. I hung out mostly with the choir kids and drama kids because that is what I did for social stuff when I was in school. That didn't mean, I treated anyone else any differently. No matter if the student was the most popular cheerleader in the school or the student who was the Mathathlete of the school who no one else liked. They were treated and liked by me the same. I tried to get along with everyone in my school and spread as much kindness as I possibly could. I really think the more kindness you can spread the farther it can go. Anyone who is bullied I am truly sorry that is happening to you. I don't know about ignoring it or being strong and trying to handle it yourself and deal with it yourself. There are tons of resources out there and I think it is just as strong if you go to them and use them. Whether that be a parent, a guidance counselor or teacher, someone from church, another trusted adult, or whoever you trust it is better than just trying to take it on yourself and ignoring it on your own. I have learned this the hard way with something different, but something that definitely hurt me in lots of ways.
When I joined here, I struggled with sharing my photo of myself. I did share photos of myself at first with just Molly and Ella and that in itself was very difficult for me. It is not because of the way my face looks or my hair or anything like that. OMG, it is pretty sickening how many compliments I get from people on how cute or how pretty or adorable I look. I am not saying this because I am full of myself, because I so much don't believe any of it. Having Self Dysmorphia as part of my disease makes it really hard for me because I don't see myself as that at all inside and out. So it scares me to all ends of the earth to post a photo of myself. I finally got the nerve to post the photo of myself to everyone on here with my collection of bags/purses and I feel pretty proud that I did that without completely falling apart.
I guess what I am trying to say is people can bully others and they can bully themselves as well. I don't seem to have a problem with bullying others and actually I hate that. I do however, bully and hurt myself a lot and that is what I am really working on right now. As stupid as posting a photo of myself may sound, it is really important to me that I was able to do it for everyone.
I also think everyone or most everyone knows I really want to be a Broadway Dancer when I grow up and I love Broadway. I also love this song by the kids of Broadway that they sung about bullying. It is called, "I Have A Voice".

Hi Emmy.
As I told you in a previous post you are a pretty young lady. Never have any doubts about that. It is true. Believe in yourself, especially if you want a career in entertainment.
I was a very young thespian myself. Never appeared on TV, just stage performances.
My only real claim to fame was that I appeared in France (Mulhouse, Alsace region) in a Shakespeare trilogy. MACBETH, HAMLET, TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA as a PR venture between my home town of Walsall in South Staffordshire England and our twin town of Mulhouse. Sometimes wish that I had taken it further as a career.
Anyway, the point that I am trying to make is BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. X

I love dance probably more than anything and I do have to stop for a bit going to my dance classes at the Dance Academy Studio while I work on my recovery for this. They say that dance and dancing can be part of the obsession with body dysmorphia and ED so my Therapist and Psychiatrist want me to take a break from it for now. This is really hard for me. |

West Side Story is my favourite musical of all time, and the 1961 movie is my favourite movie I love Anybodys. The dancing and choreography in West Side Story is absolutely brilliant. I also love the story of the contemporary Romeo and Juliet story and the music and songs and fantastic. I think the part of Anybodys would be perfect for me because of the amount of dancing she does with the Jets gang and she is also small like myself. I love the original West Side Story movie and I also love the remake movie as well. |
