Hello! Please forgive this question, but how do I go about becoming a keeper? I sometimes miss things right under my nose, so I apologize...

Then make a post in this thread about which keeper you would like to be. If it's available and accepted, you can then make your 'keeper' photo. If you can't do it yourself, there are people here who can do it for you.

It always catches my attention whenever there is a scene in their room.

First and foremost, you need an image of the lamp, and that my be difficult to find unless someone knows exactly where to look.
Secondly, in this forum, there is a 'pinned' thread entitled 'Calling All "Keepers"'. That should help you get started. You should also look in the 'All Things Walton' thread at the list of keepers to make sure the lamp hasn't been taken yet.
Some people here have DVDs of the series (I have from seasons 4 - 8) who might be able to take a screen shot of the lamp if you can locate it in an episode. I'll keep an eye open for it.

Then you need to make your banner or request that someone here make it for you.

Here is a photo I found online. Is that the lamp you’re talking about, the one on the nightstand beside the bed?

I was glad to find that it hasn’t been claimed yet...☺️

So glad I can claim it! How is the banner made? I may just need to ask someone to help me with it...

You need a photo editing app or software like Photoshop to make the banner. There are also banner maker sites online. Just do a google search. Several forum members have made banners for others. I’m sure someone will volunteer to make yours, but first we need to find a good image.

I googled “pink hobnail lamp” and found a pic of a lamp that looks exactly like it.

^ That is entirely up to you.

^ That is entirely up to you. I would prefer an actual image of the lamp from the show. But since I’m going to need help from another member, I thought it might be a lot easier for them to simply use the googled image I found. Should I create a new thread, asking for help with creating the banner?

I wouldn't start a new thread. You can do it here. I can help (I made my avatar and keeper images), but you might prefer another style. I'm pretty-much limited by the frames around the images.
